Nikhil Dey was one of the founding members of the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) along with Aruna Roy and Shankar Singh. His speech was related to certain quotes which influenced him from US feminist movement. He also took the audience through the revolutionary movements that took place in Rajasthan for the right to guaranteed pension. Nikhil Dey was one of the founding members of the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) along with Aruna Roy and Shankar Singh. Since 1990, he has been a fulltime worker of the MKSS, and a part of the organisation's decisionmaking collective. He has also been a part of the organisation's involvement in collective larger campaigns most notably for the people's Right to Information (RTI), and the Right to Work (MGNREGA). He campaigned for the demand of a Social Accountability Law that is scheduled to be introduced for passage in the 2023 monsoon session of the Rajasthan State Assembly. He is also apart of the founding group for "Jan Sarokar", a network of Indian social movements, which organised Indian 'people's parliament' due to the lack of parliamentary oversight for five months during the Covid19 lockdown, and organises janata parliaments for budget demands from social movements.
