Soil-06: Imaging Spectroscopy for Soil Applications - Overview Methods

Follow
HYPERedu

In this lesson, we will have a closer look at the relationship between insitu and remotely sensed data. We will deal with the question of how you can link your insitu data with spectral information or even retrieve information on the desired soil properties from space without insitu data. There are quite a few methods, which differ depending on the application at hand. In this video, we will present you a short overview of methods to extract information on soil properties from hyperspectral data.

This course teaches the principles of imaging spectroscopy for soil applications and techniques for the hyperspectral retrieval of soil properties.
This course was created by the GFZ Potsdam as part of the HYPERedu initiative with support from experts at various partner institutions. The development was funded within the EnMAP science program under the German Space Agency at DLR with resources from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
