Designing a Conveyable Figurine The Truth Conveyor ep. 2

I know, I need to learn how to use blender…but designing characters in a parametric software like @solidworks does have it’s advantages. Firstly, it allows me to design with dimensions, so a small tweak can be made with a few keyboard strokes. This is gonna be incredibly helpful in future steps.

Once I had a design I was satisfied with, I added the centre screw so I would be able to 3d print both halves without the use of wasteful support. This also provided me with a clean print that fits together really well.

Lastly, I just needed to throw some weight in the bottom (in the form of steel balls) so the little buddy could balance upright. This took a little bit of tweaking in the slicer to find the right infill that would allow for the proper weight distribution. In more technical terms, I was trying to bring the centre of mass as low as possible this is what keeps the guy upright. And voila, we have ourselves a little figurene!
