Borus is a mountain range in the south of the Krasnoyarsk region of Russia, in the Western Sayan system. Located in the vicinity of the village of Cheryomushki in the city of Sayanogorsk on the banks of the Yenisei. It is part of the Shushensky Bor National Park.
The name comes from the Mongolian word boroo “rain”, borony us “rain water”, that is, the “rainy” ridge, which is confirmed by meteorological data.
