My summary/learnings/experience on Banff:
Most people are expats/travellers/work+travel (many Aussies)
Best to go in either Winter (snow sports) or Summer (hiking/canoeing)
Sunnies are needed in the snow because the sun reflects on it (very bright)
Spring = leftover snowsuit not snowy
They love their specials here (eg, taco Tuesdays, wine Wednesdays)
Lots of cars have cracked windows because in Winter they put sand down and sometimes the rocks in it hit the screen
People will party any day of the week (biggest day being Sundays)
Hostel experience: No one asks what you do for work because no one cares. They care to know you as a person and work to live.
