I asked some Peruvian locals where I should go to buy some clothes, and they all said not to go to Gamarra as it is absolutely not for tourists. Apparently this is the most dangerous market in Peru, and tourists should steer well away from visiting Gamarra market as you will get robbed, you will get mugged, you will have your phone stolen and there's no way I should be carrying my camera around this market, because it will get stolen.
Well obviously that didn't happen, as the video has been edited and uploaded. A lot of people seem to think that all tourists are the same and for some reason should be scared of everything and everywhere. If you're scared to go somewhere, don't go. If you're not scared, and something happens, then that's your fault.
It was a bit sketchy, but just busy really and very loud.
Would you visit this Peruvian market? Apparently the most dangerous market in Peru. If you're worried about getting robbed in Peru, then you probably shouldn't go to this market. Nothing will happen, probably, but if you're worried, leave it out of your trip.
