Join me on a winter camping trip in the beautiful Lake District National Park. On this trip I try to get to the top of Great End to setup camp and see the sunset, but unfortunately I run out of time. Instead, I decide to pitch at Sprinkling Tarn. After camp is setup I fly the drone around a little bit before settling in to start cooking. For dinner this trip, I make braised sausage, beans, and greens on the Trangia 27 cook kit. In the evening the temperatures drop to right around freezing, but overall it was a pretty calm night with an incredible full moon that lights up the landscape. In the morning, I rise early and its coffee as usual before packing up and getting back on trail. The winds pick up quite a bit in the morning and my camera unfortunately gets damaged as its blown over one too many times. I do get a chance however to take the drone up one more time (its a new toy I got as a gift for Christmas so I apologize for all the drone montages) to show off some of the views on the hike back to the car. Overall it was a great trip and I can’t wait to get back. Still hoping and can pitch the tent in some snow before this winter is over. Fingers Crossed. Hope you enjoy!
