Soloing the Dark Sun with the Imp!

Just Fun And David Gaming

Today, I prove that the Elf job is overrated by soloing the Dark Sun, the (second on switch) hardest boss in Miitopia, with the Imp job! This was one of my hardest Dark Sun challenges yet, so be sure to subscribe to see more!

►Tips:
Below are some tips for if you want to try soloing without the Elf yourself!

Personality
The best personalities for this challenge are Cool and Laidback. Cool provides a 30% chance to dodge physical attacks, and Laidback provides a 25% chance of doubling the effectiveness of any move. (Laidback also has a 15% chance of halving the effectiveness of any move.) Which personality you choose is up to you, since they both have their pros and cons. Laidback is more luck based, while Cool has a decent dodge chance, but not much else. (This challenge is likely still possible with any personality.)

Job
The best Job for this challenge is likely the Imp, since it's a jack of all trades, having high HP, magic, and defense stats, a HP healing move, an MP healing move, great damaging moves (Naughty/Punishing/Wicked Pitchforks), Sweet Whispers, a move that increases damage, and much more. If you wish to use another job, the asteroids move from the Dark Sun can one shot most jobs, even at maxed grub stats. In order to not be one shot, you must have somewhere around 350 HP, 350 Magic, and have a shield sprinkle equipped. (With the exception of Mage, since it has a barrier skill.) The qualifying jobs are Mage (with a barrier active), Vampire, Imp, and Tank (With Defense). (Jobs marked with "theoretically," have not been tested, and can only survive the attack in theory.) Vampire is the only job from that list with adequate magic and defense stats to tank attacks from the Dark Sun. Vampire is therefore the second best option, as it has a self heal skill (Bite), great damaging skills (Scorching Breath, Bat Tornado, etc.), and great HP, Magic, and Defense stats.

Traveler
Travelers are temporary clients that accompany you on quests. They can be any job, but the best job for this challenge is likely Cleric. They can heal you a lot, and have a great damaging skill, Aura. This challenge likely isn't possible without a traveler.

In Battle Strategy
(Note: This will only cover the strategy for the Imp job.) The main strategy for the first phase is to use Sweet Whispers to distract the Dark Sun, and to heal yourself with Energy Drain. Since Energy Drain is a lifesteal skill, Sweet Whispers greatly increases its effectiveness. If the traveler heals you fully with Giga Cure, use a damaging skill, preferably Punishing Pitchfork if there are currently medals in the battle, and Wicked Pitchforks if there are not any medals in the battle. During the second phase you'll want to conserve your shield sprinkles. Use HP sprinkles instead if your health gets low. Only use shield sprinkles if the Dark Sun is about to use the asteroids attack. On that note, during the second phase, the Dark Sun attacks in a pattern:
Turn 1: Big Bang, Attack
Turn 2: Attack, Black Hole
Turn 3: Attack, Attack
Turn 4: Asteroids, Attack
(Big Bang is the HP to one attack.)
If you run out of HP sprinkles, start using your shield sprinkles. If you've run out of shield sprinkles, it's advised to start SPAMMING Wicked Pitchforks, especially if the Dark Sun is just about to die. Try using Wicked Pitchforks as much as possible, even when your HP sprinkles haven't run out. Replace uses of Energy Drain with HP sprinkles, except when you're on critically low HP, and the traveler didn't heal you. When the Dark Sun is about to use the asteroids attack, heal to max HP with HP sprinkles and equip a shield sprinkle. Make sure to not heal when the Dark Sun is about to use Big Bang, since it'll reset your HP to 1 anyways.
