Sonic, Knuckles and Tails are outmatched by a fiendish, powerful villain, Shadow... who can help? Wait, they're going to work with previous archnemesis, Dr. Robotnik? And who's that with him? Could it be... his dad?

The allnew actionadventure comedy asks us the question: What could be worse than a typical Sonic plan for action? Asking Dr. Robotnik to save the world from Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. Alrighty then!

With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails must seek out the aforementioned previous supervillain for an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.

Director Jeff Fowler returns along with our allstar cast including Jim Carrey,
Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, newcomers Alyla Browne and Krysten Ritter, with Keanu Reeves joining the franchise as Shadow the Hedgehog.

Handling VFX on the film for production VFX supervisor Ged Wright and production VFX producer Paul Molles are Agora Studio, Cantina Creative, Clear Angle Studios, DNEG, Fin Design + Effects, ILM, Rising Sun Pictures, RED9, ReDefine, Rodeo FX, Track VFX, and Untold Studios.
