Sony Pictures Television was founded in 2002, replacing Columbia TriStar Television, while similarly being reincorporated from the name of Columbia Pictures Television.

NOTE: The domestic syndication unit retained this name and logo during the brief period the production unit became Sony Pictures Television Studios in 2020.
