On June 23, 2023, we visited Sooke, BC and had breakfast at the Stick in the Mud coffee shop. The eggamajigs were delicious! We continued on to China Beach day use area and hiked the Juan de Fuca coastal trail to Mystic Beach and waterfalls at lowtide. The hike was a little challenging, and there were a lot of people visiting the beach, but the scenery was beautiful. We saw a bald eagle, muscles clinging to the rocks, a starfish hanging out under a huge boulder, the sea cave on the north end of the beach, and of course the waterfalls on the south end of the beach.
