IMPELLERS DESIGN
Requirements for the mixing systems have increased ın industrial applications in recent years. The design of the propellers, selection of an appropriate mixing system and organization of the components on the mixer have a determinatıve effect on the process engineering and mechanical properties. Mixing systems vary depending on the viscosity and density of the product. The constructive structure of the designed machine is made according to high speed or low speed mixers and engineering calculations are done according to this.

HOW SHOULD I CHOOSE THE IMPELLERS?
The propellers and the mixers which are used in high speed mixing machines or as some of you call the mixing blades used in the industry may be ın various types. In order to achieve the ideal mixture, the diameter of the mixing blade must be 1/3 of the diameter of the production vessel. The choice of the impeller diameter is relative to the motor power of the mixing machine, the maximum mixing speed and the diameter of the production vessel. A propeller which is not selected correctly causes no dispersion and the extension of the production process.

WHAT IS THE DISPERSION?
Dispersion is a process that started by any point on the propeller taking a spherical speed of 19 meters per second and continues up to 25 meters per second. During this process, nanosize dispersion is occurred. Not able to reach these spherical speed provides only a homogeneous mixture not a dispersion. The spherical speed required for the dispersion is related with the diameter of the propeller and the rotation speed of the propeller. The spherıcal speed can be reached by the high speed turning of a small diameter propeller is the same with the slower turning speed of a larger diameter propeller because the spherical speed will be the same.

WHAT ARE THE MOST PREFERRED PROPELLER AND MIXER TYPES?
HIGH SPEED DISPERSION PROPELLERS
DIAMOND EDGE DISPERSION PROPELLERS
DOUBLE LAYER DISPERSION PROPELLERS
TURBO PROPELLERS
