Space Engineers - Being Salvaged

I saw the Space Engineers 10th Anniversary video used clips of Being Industrious. That's what got me out of my grave. This video is the 3rd installment in that series, which never got finished. I found it on an old hard drive just now and thought I'd upload it. This video is from 2013 2014.

I started building this ship alongside the other two as a prospective look at what salvage could be like in a more complete version of Space Engineers. At the time, there were no grinders or conveyors or construction mechanics. Multiplayer had only just been added, which allowed me to control the ship with one computer and film with another.

Perfect became enemy of the good, and I held onto the video just long enough that Space Engineers had actual salvage mechanics added. I amended the video with the arrival of the orange ships (and filmed with the new spectator camera instead of multiplayer), but encountered an esoteric bug that prevented production going any further.

The bug, for anyone interested, was that armour deformation would grow over time with repeated saving/loading, and the save(s) had reached a point where the damaged ships with subgrids would selfcollide and start spinning violently out of control. This prevented me from being able to feed the yellow ship into the giant ship muncher at the end.

Also, I wasn't really sure of where or how to end it. Ideally, to do justice to the amount of features added to Space Engineers in that time, I should have had the giant ship muncher feed a factory that produces the orange ships. The next several minutes would be a montage of them ganging up on other creations intercut with those being ground up and the factory continuing to produce legions of orange ships.
