György Buszáki, MD, PhD is the Biggs Professor of Neuroscience at the New York University's School of Medicine. His research is focused on the neuronal circuits in the brain that underly cognitive capacities, with particular interest on brain oscillations, sleep and memory. Dr. Buzsáki is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences and an external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Dr. Buzsáki has authored hundreds of notable peerreviewed papers in addition to a book detailing the neuroscience of brain rhythms titled "Rhythms of the Brain".
