Our tried and tested recipe for one of pinoy's favorite merienda from the neighborhood panaderia in the Philippines, SPANISH BREAD.
Ingredients:
1 cup milk (250 ml)
1 tablespoon yeast (12 grams)
1 tablespoon sugar (16 grams)
2 cups bread flour (260 grams)
2 cups all purpose flour (260 grams)
1/2 cup butter ( 115 grams)
1/2 cup sugar(110 grams)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt (6 grams)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (70 grams)
to coat rolls
Filling
1 cup margarine or butter (230 grams)
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar (50 grams)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (70 grams)
