Newer version here: • Overview of Spatial Econometric Models
I am remaking and finishing this series. Join us at http://spatial.burkeyacademy.com
Here we download a free GIS program, and a free map file of the US, and discuss how regions (neighbors) might be related to each other, as measured by spatial regression models using spatial weights matrices. I explain the major spatial econometric models: Manski, KelejianPrucha, Spatially lagged x, spatial autoregressive (spatial lag model), spatial error model, and spatial Durbin models. If you want to learn about spatial econometrics, this is where to start!
