The McDonnel Douglas MD11 is one of my favorite airplanes but sadly most companies replace the beautiful MD11 with more fuel efficient aircrafts and that` s why it`s becoming a rare sight. Western Global is one of the biggest MD11 operators in the world, with approximately 14 aircrafts. Two of the are currently based at Liege (Belgium) and operate cargo charter flights for Allied Air Cargo to Africa.

The first MD11 shown in this video (N411SN) is 27 years old and a former World Cargo and Gemini Air Cargo aircrafts. The departing MD11 (N545JN) is 22 years old and used to operate for China Cargo Airlines.
