After the massive success of Marvel’s SpiderMan, it was obvious that Insomniac would want to follow up with a sequel. But what wasn’t as expected was the development of a sort of midquel to launch simultaneously with the PS5, SpiderMan: Miles Morales. And though the game is quite a bit shorter than its predecessor, it’s once again a perfect SpiderMan story, letting us experience Miles’ first major outing as SpiderMan, and setting the stage for the sequel. SpiderMan Miles Morales might not be as robust as Insomniac’s first Spidey game, but it packs a massive emotional punch and gives us a more intimate, street level experience as SpiderMan learns the ropes. It may venom shock you to learn that I adore SpiderMan: Miles Morales, and today I’m gonna tell you exactly why.
