"SpiderMan: Across the SpiderVerse" has tons of celebrity voice actors. Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy. Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker. Oscar Isaac the list goes on. (Shameik Moore as Miles Morales counts?)
But SpiderVerse handles their celebrity voice acting much differently than almost any other modern animated blockbuster movie.
For example, it is far cry from Chris Pratt’s voice work as Mario in the new Mario movie. Why did Pratt's casting cause a renewed plea to stop casting celebrity actors in animated movies and yet there is no such conversation surrounding Spiderverse.
