Which is a better combination? Plain hex nuts and split lock washers or Nylon locknuts and split lock washers?
I tested both in my doityourself impact and vibration test rig to satisfy my curiosity.
The results may surprise you.

For reference… I used low grade A307 3/816 zinc plated nuts and bolts.
The results are specific for this setup and not a recommendation of any sort.
