The Springfield M1a Scout Squad has a carbon steel barrel picatinny rail just before the receiver. Springfield Armory includes one 10 round magazine in a fitted soft case. The National Match Trigger is a welcomed addition as well! Such a well made rifle which is well documented throughout history.

Before the AR10 the M14 was available and it has a much more proven track record than the 308 AR platform. What a piece of history with an action and make up from the M1 Garand.
