Today we archive a very special game in the form of Spy X Anya Operation Memories which is almost a relaxation or vacation type of game. It is based on the Spy X Family anime and follows Anya and her family as they go around town and taking family photos together. You live the daily life of Anya and have to go to school, do chores and play plenty of minigames.
By talking to other classmates or family member you gain points that you can then spend on outfits and accessories.
You will go to the park, an aquarium, the beach and even the museum. There you will take photos of various funny situations and overall the game is just a really relaxing and calm experience. The lack of action might be a turn off for some, but for me this game almost felt therapeutic.
In so many games we shoot enemies or fight bad guys and it just felt so serene and nice to just sit down with a cold glass of ice tea and go on a virtual vacation. The overal art style and colors of the characters and enviomrent are super charming and vibrant and I often had a smile on my face while playing this.
The minigames are also very varied and will have you do various rhythm games to racing and even stealth or fighting minigames. Playing this game made me realise how nice it is to sometimes play a game that is a bit calmer and cozy and therefore I would love to archive more games like this. But then my question is...what other games are there that are like this? I know there are some Shin Chan games that are supposedly similar, but other than that I am not too familiar with this genre. If any of you know any other "cozy" or "vacation" type games then please let me know and I will be sure to archive them someday!
