Azure SQL

In this video we will demo how Azure SQL Managed Instance link (short MI link) can be used to create readonly database replicas of a database hosted on SQL Server.

In general Link feature for Azure SQL Managed Instance offers near realtime data replication from SQL Server to Azure SQL Managed Instance or viceversa. MI link can be used in read scaleout scenarios, and also in hybrid disasterrecovery scenarios, between SQL Server hosted anywhere and Azure SQL Managed Instance link. MI link can also be used for migration of databases from SQL Server to Azure SQL Managed Instance.
