It's 1974. This is Green For Go! A Standen sugar beet harvester promotional film bringing you an insight into the company's product range in the day.

During the 1970s, Standen commanded an impressive UK sugar beet market share of more than 60%. With flourishing export markets in many countries including Iran, Greece, Spain, Ireland and Japan, the company had the right technology at the right time that suited sugar beet growers everywhere.

'Film stars' include the Standen hoe, Rapide Tanker and Cyclone single row sugar beet harvesters, and the thenrevolutionary threerow Standen Multibeet system with Front Topper, Standard Topper, Standard Topper with elevator, Flail Topper and threerow LifterLoader.

There's also some wonderful footage of the city of Ely in 1974 with its, cathedral, busy market and pretty riverside areas.
