The Stanley Glacier hike in beautiful Kootenay National Park is a true delight. This is a relatively easy hike that gets you up close to a glacier and huge waterfalls. It is located in the East Kooteney British Columbia, which is just four kilometers from the provincial border.

This trail is a 10.9 kilometer heavily trafficked especially from June to September. However, we came last March 2021 which offered different views as compared to summer. Hiking during winter is best experience with hiking poles, snowshoes and microspikes.

Once you reach the wooden bridge, you are already halfway to the glacier. Moving further, you will see a cave and waterfalls. You might also see a "cabin" from far but as you get closer to it, you'll be surprised for it's a massive boulder.
