This is something that I've always wanted to try, taking a plastic model and making it "fly" under water. In the same way that astronauts train in pools to simulate microgravity, you could get spaceships to do spaceship things under water, that they would be incapable of in air. I used an old Power of the Force AWing as the hull, with most of the internal structure removed to fit in the electronics. The water tight container is made out of an ID card holder, with potted wires running out through the wall. The motors run flooded, and I used two waterproof car steering servos to move the control surfaces. It's ballasted to be slightly buoyant, so that in the event I go out of radio range, it'll float to the surface. With differential thrust for yaw, and elevon controls it is capable of doing loops and rolls, which I think is considered aquabatics? 2.4 GHz does not work under water, so I'm using an old Vex Robotics 75MHz transmitter/receiver. This has been a really fun project that has introduced me to the world of RC submarines, I think I'm going to put together a few more ships in the future.

As with all my builds, this is strictly for fun. I do not intend to sell any sort of kit based on this project, although I will be glad to answer questions about the build, and help anyone who is interested create their own. Do not upload my content as your own, and please provide proper attribution if you are sharing it. Build and fly at your own risk and in accordance with your local regulations. Fly smart, fly safe
