Connecticut Security Deposit Regulations
Landlords may charge up to two months’ rent for Tenants less than 62 years old and up to one month’s rent for Tenants 62 or older. Landlords must return the security deposit, plus any accrued interest, within 30 days of the end of the tenancy.

Connecticut Landlord Entry Laws
Landlords must give reasonable notice before entering the property for nonemergencies. Generally, 24 hours written notice is considered reasonable.

Connecticut Late Fee Requirements
Connecticut has a nineday grace period, so late fees can only be assessed once rent is ten days late. The Lease must include late fee policies, and late fees cannot exceed either 5 dollars a day up to a maximum of $50 or 5% of the rent due.
