India and the United States are at an important juncture in their economic partnership with both countries urging to strengthen trade and investment. A number of important issues are on the 2013 economic agenda that could influence the trajectory of the partnership, including the release of India's 20132014 budget, the prospect of Stage II economic reforms, political jockeying ahead of India's next elections, and continued
negotiations on a U.S.India Bilateral Investment Treaty.
