Follow
The Sci Guys

Welcome to science at home in this experiment we are exploring what happens when you place steel wool in vinegar.Steel wool is made of an iron alloy which is coated in a protective coating to prevent rusting. The vinegar removes the protective coating and makes the steel vulnerable to rusting. At the end of this episode you will be able to demonstrate what happens when you place steel wool into vinegar, explain why the steel wool rusts so quickly and explain what an oxidation reaction is.
