STEINHOVEN Piano

I spotted this piano in the Dalkey Duck pub in Dalkey Dublin. Finally a modern piano in a pub. It is there for certain people to play on certain days. UP131 could be the model. Maybe 918601 is the serial number. Serial number gives a clue of year 1991 or 1986 or 2001. It even has a slow closing fall. Most certainly an overstrung frame and an underdamper action. The celest rail is missing. So that's why the middle pedal doesn't work. Has the shiniest silver tuning pins I have ever seen. Three bass strings are broken, on Eb2, E2, and F2. Far too young a piano to have any broken strings. As a result, Eb2, E2, and F2 dampers are out of place. Eb2 and E2 dampers are not dampening properly and E2 has a ringing sound. E2 sounded better before I tried moving its damper. Tuned to A440 concert pitch as expected. Will need a fine tuning and some octaves are out near the middle. The case is a bit dirty. A tuner has left their card inside. They should know about the faults.

Will need:
three new bass strings (no guarantee tying strings will hold)
the three dampers straightened
fine tuning
middle octaves tuned
sponge bath
