On August 31, 2024, the Modern Drummer rundown crew had the special opportunity to spend a day with Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction, just 7 shows before the band took a hiatus following an unfortunate onstage altercation between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro. Speaking to MD's David Frangioni, Stephen gave us an indepth look at his stunning custom DW drum kit, crafted from Oak and Maple with a striking Aztec Gold finish. He didn’t just talk about the specs—he also shared some fascinating context and a bit of drum history along the way.
