Stevens Aero BuzzBomb RC Model Airplane Kit
In this video I discuss the construction and flying of the Stevens Aeromodel BuzzBomb RC model airplane kit.
The Buzzard Bombshell was a very popular free flight model airplane design of the 1930s and 1940s. The Bombshell was a large airplane with a 70 inch wingspan, the bigger size needed for the heavy gas ignition engines of the day.
The Bombshell flew well so was a logical design to adapt to radio control systems over the years.
Stevens Aero has taken the Buzzard Bombshell as inspiration for their interpretation of the BuzzBomb design. Using their method of precise laser cut balsa, the BuzzBomb makes for a lightweight (16 ounces), slow flying three channel radio control model.
I have built over 12 of the Stevens Aero kits. They go together well, look great and fly wonderfully. The BuzzBomb is perfect for slow, close in flying at your local field.
