About the book "Human Relations" by the Stoic philosopher Seneca:
Seneca wrote this work in his old age, when he had retired from public life to his country house. This is a series of letters that he addressed to Lucílio, starting in July 62 AD, and corresponds to the brief period of less than three years of life that he still had left. In April 65 he cut his wrists by order of the despotic emperor Nero.
