About this video series: a collection of original stories narrated in Greek.

Target audience: the videos are created with Greek language learners in mind. People in search for free listening materials that are both entertaining and informative. Intermediate and advanced speakers can understand Helinika’s Greek speaking stories much easier than beginners. Greek language beginners can always check the script for each video (linked in the description) and read it while listening to the audio.

How learning Greek by listening to stories works: all stories are narrated in a way that allows the listener to immerse himself/herself in the Greek language. Repetition is used to help learners memorize new words and better understand their meaning. Sentences are short and clear. All stories include references to the Greek culture, therefore, listeners are able to immerse themselves in the Greek culture as well. Beginners may find it difficult to understand certain words or phrases.
