The winds were blowing from 200 degrees at 17 to 40+ knots yesterday at London Heathrow due to #storm Noa. As with last month, many flights were diverted or delayed and there were goarounds to see too!
Here is a Lufthansa A320 DAIJE operating flight LH908 from Frankfurt (callsign LH 5 Lima Lima) which encountered a sudden gust or down draught over the Runway threshold, resulting in a go around or "blow around" as it looked from where I was filming!
You can really see the crabbed approach on the 2nd attempt, especially at the flare as the aircraft is centred on the runway. Great piloting skills!
