Back in MY day... I have noted a concerning trend in the general tech space of migrating everything towards a subscription model. Things we used to be able to purchase and outright own have moved into subscription models that are meant to drain your wallet/purse every month. How many streaming services are you on at the moment? Netflix? Disney+ and Hulu? Paramount+? Apple TV+?
