Strengthen your sternocleidomastoid for head rotation | The MSK Physio
The sternocleidomastoid is an important muscle to have access to when trying to turn your head side to side. It is a primary rotator on the front of your body. It is biased more towards flexion as opposed to extension of the neck and as such it must be trained with flexion!
If you struggle with looking left or right head rotation, particularly when looking down, this strengthening exercise will likely be useful for you!
