Hi my friends!!! Welcome to Stromboli island!!! It is a great pleasure to me to share the beauty of this Sicilian island!!!. My favorite Aeolian islands.

Stromboli is an island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the north coast of Sicily, containing Mount Stromboli, one of the three active volcanoes in Italy.The island's area is 12.6 square kilometres, on the upper third of the volcano that is above sea level and making an island.] Its population is about 500.

The volcano has erupted many times and is constantly active with minor eruptions, often visible from many points on the island and from the surrounding sea, giving rise to the island's nickname "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean". (Wikipedia)

Stromboli is famous for its normally small, but regular explosions throwing out glowing lava from several vents inside its summit crater. This activity has been going on for at least 2000 years, as long as there is written memory of the activity, which Stromboli lended its name to, the socalled strombolian activity.

In this video I will walk you through the streets of San Vincenzo, a small village of Stromboli, we will go under water in the “black beach” of San Vincenzo, near the port. At the end of this walking tour you can enjoy the volcano view from the ferry boat.
