How we can use Strontium to reconstruct paleoclimate, paleoenvironment, and even information about humans after we die. We talk about both the elemental (or ionic) behavior of Sr as well as the isotopic behavior of Sr, and we discuss the use of Strontium to Calcium ratios as proxies as well as the use of Strontium 87 to 86 isotope ratios as proxies. We also discuss the 0.706 line ("706 line") and its significance, and lastly, we talk about some additional proxies including using Sr from our own teeth to deduce information about where we grew up.
