"STRUT!" by Robert Dick (dedicated to Melissa Keeling)
Performed and arranged for electric glissando flute by Melissa Keeling

I am incredibly honored that Robert Dick wrote and dedicated this rock flute solo to me! Composed in 2022, it's part of his set of music for glissando flute titled "Bypass to Otherness." When I studied with Robert, he helped me create my first arrangement of a rock guitar solo, Eddie Van Halen's "Eruption," for which I'm forever grateful.

My arrangement of "STRUT!" is for flute and effects pedals (reverb, delay, harmonizers, whammy, chorus), and includes an improvised cadenza at the end. Effects were created using the Line 6 Helix Floor pedal.

This piece was recorded as part of my 2023 album, HYPERSONYQ.
