We had an amazing opportunity to travel across Canada by train on VIA Rail's Toronto to Vancouver route on "The Canadian". This is Canada's Amtrak equivalent. For those of you wanting to take this scenic journey, the video and the following details are intended to help provide more information on the trains and special deals that may come up. Travelling by train is indeed a pleasant, scenic experience which I hope you would be able to experience. (Please note that I am not associated with VIA Rail.)

Traveling by train can be pricier and requires more time than other conventions of travel, but it is a luxury of a time gone by. In my case, it was worth every minute; being able to experience the scenic journey, attentive service by the crew members, and getting back into the art of conversation and building friendships (something that we had the opportunity to do with the absence of connectivity for parts of the journey).
