This is a video of a 3day/2night trip to Matsumoto city and Shiojiri city by express and local trains.

We visit Matsumoto castle and explore the beautiful Naraijuku historic post town. The town flourished as one of inn towns on the Nakasendo Road during the Edo period, and maintains the atmosphere of Old Japan. The Road/Trail was one of the main routes linking Edo (the old name of Tokyo) and Kyoto.

The accommodation is "Onyado Nono Matsumoto" near Matsumoto station.

It's a popular budget Japanesestyle hotel in Japan with tatami mats throughout the building and a large public bath. They don't serve dinner but have unique service.
