Origin: Subscapular fossa
Insertion: Lesser tubercle of the humerus
Action: Internal rotation of the shoulder, stabilisation of glenohumeral joint & can very weakly assist in shoulder adduction
Innervation: Upper subscapular nerve, lower subscapular nerve (C5, C6)
Artery: Subscapular artery
