Sue’s Spaghetti Sauce

1 1/2 pounds hamburger
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 4.5 ounces can sliced mushrooms
2 teaspoons parsley flakes
1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
1 16 ounce can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon basil
2 teaspoons sugar
3 bay leaves

Brown hamburger, onion, and garlic salt in a large pot. Drain well. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. Cover and simmer for one hour. Uncover and cook 30 minutes longer. Remove the bay leaves. Spoon the sauce over cooked spaghetti.
