The current episode focuses on Sufism, Sufi saints, and their significance not only in the Kashmir Valley but also across various parts of India.

Numerous locations throughout the country have been touched by the teachings of these Sufi saints, who have preached peace and brotherhood.

One such notable place is the Dargah of Sheikh Mohibullah Shah in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

The Sheikh Mohibullah Shah Dargah in Prayagraj exemplifies the GangaJamuni Tehzeeb, a blend of Hindu and Muslim cultural traditions.

Situated in the Keet Ganj area, this shrine is dedicated to Sheikh Mohibullah Shah, also known as Dada Miyan. He was a Sufi saint who transcended religious boundaries, promoting unity between Hindus and Muslims.

The caretaker of the Dargah, Ali Mian, shared that the shrine dates back to the Mughal era during Shah Jahan's rule.

He recounted that when Dara Shikoh, the governor of Allahabad, visited Prayagraj, he sought the guidance of Sheikh Mohibullah Shah. Dara Shikoh asked for principles to follow in his governance, and Sheikh Mohibullah Shah advised him to administer justice impartially, without discrimination based on religion.

According to the teachings imparted by Baba, a king should rule over his people, not their religions, and must not distinguish between Hindus and Muslims.

This timeless advice continues to resonate today, as people from both Hindu and Muslim communities visit the Dargah, seeking fulfillment of their wishes.

The Sheikh Mohibullah Shah Dargah stands as a living testament to HinduMuslim brotherhood and unity.
