Hike planned: Sugarloaf and Spaulding via the AT off of Caribou Pond Rd.
What happened: Ended up turning back after one mile in, the one time I think I’ll be fine without snowshoes! Never leaving them behind again.
Never underestimate any amount of snow in the mountains. Always come over prepared. Better safe than sorry.
