'Süke' (Hunnic Attack)
Eski Türk dilinde yazılmış, bilinen en eski şiir.
Milattan sonra dördüncü yüzyılda (329) Kuzey Doğu Çin'i yöneten ve Chao Hanedanlığını kuran Hun beyi ShihLo'nun kentini, başka bir Hun beyi olan Yao Loyang kuşatır.
Hun beyi kentini korumak ister ancak danışmanları onu bu isteğinden döndürmeye çalışır. Yao Loyang bunun üzerine Hindistan'dan Şansi'ye gelen (Kuzey Çin) Budist bir rahip bulur ve ona
ne yapması gerektiğini sorar. Budist rahip şu kehanette bulunur: 'Çan sesi şöyle diyor: 'Orduyu çıkarın ve Yao Loyang'ı yakalayın'
Chin Shu yıllığında, bu kehanet Hun dilinde olduğu şekliyle aktarılıyor:


秀支替岡谷劬禿田

siôg tîêg t'iei liəd kâng b'uok kuk g'iu t'uk täng'

'süke talıkan, bokuk'gı tutang''

(orduyu çıkarın, Boku'yu tutun!')


Kente saldırmak isteyen Yao Loyang'ın gerçek adının 'Bokuk'/Bukuk olduğu bu metinden anlaşılıyor. Bokuk adının anlamı bilinmese de eski Türkçe bügü, bog, buğ (bey) ya da buku, bukug (geyik) adlarıyla ilişkili olduğu düşünülüyor.

In the fourth century AD (329 AD), the city of ShihLo, the Hun chief who ruled North East China and founded the Chao Dynasty, besieged by Yao Loyang, another Hun chief.
The Hun wants to protect his city, but his advisers try to turn him away from this request. Yao Loyang then finds a Buddhist monk from India who came to Shansi (Northern China) and asks him what to do. The Buddhist monk prophesies: 'The bell says: 'Take out the army and capture Yao Loyang'
In the Chin Shu yearbook, this prophecy is quoted in the Hun language:

秀支替岡谷劬禿田

siôg tîêg t'iei liəd kâng b'uok kuk g'iu t'uk täng'

'süke talıkan, bokuk'gı tutang''

(send the army and capture Boku!')

It is understood from this text that the real name of Yao Loyang, who wants to attack the city, is 'Bokuk'/Bukuk. Although the meaning of the name Bokuk is unknown, it is thought to be related to the Turkic names of bügü, bog, buğ (lord) or buku, bukug (deer).
