During Memorial Day weekend of 2023, the Silver Creek and Stephenson RR operated their 1912 Heisler steam locomotive throughout the day on Sunday, May 28th. Located in Freeport, IL, this small operation features a very unique and interesting wood burning steam locomotive. Watch as SC&S 2 pulls trains through the woods and across a river, and see the view from inside the locomotive cab on one of the day's excursions. Check em out if you get a chance. They're super friendly folks and it is a very neat steamer.
