SummerKeys offers the busy adult an opportunity to be immersed in the study and practice of a musical instrument. There are no admission requirements. The premise is: come as you are and enjoy the study, the work, the camaraderie, and the beauty of the Maine Coast.

The program is open to all levels from very beginning students to accomplished players. Courses are offered in piano, voice, clarinet, jazz piano, classical guitar, flute, Baroque flute, recorder, cello, violin, viola, fiddle, mandolin, trumpet, Celtic harp, oboe, organ, composition, “Instrumentarium”, photography, creative writing, cabaret, and dance.

Faculty members, adept in their disciplines and experienced in teaching adults, tailor private sessions and classes to accommodate your musical goals and interests. While both study and practice at SummerKeys are intensive, the atmosphere is relaxed and noncompetitive. You work at your instrument in ways that are rewarding to you
