Sun City West Part 1

Sun City West is located in the northwest section of Greater Phoenix, Arizona. The Sun City West Railroad Club manages the layout. The club models 3gages, HO, N, and G. HO and N are in a recreation and administration building on R. H. Johnson Blvd. In contrast, the outdoor GScale layout is on the Beardsley Recreation Center grounds. Ample parking is available.

The GScale outdoor railroad facility has two sections at the exact Beardsley location. Phase 1 is the original section, with approximately 3,500 square feet, and phase 2 is about 10,000 square feet. Part one video is the original phase, and Part 2 is the newer 10,000 square feet section.

This section, phase 1, has five mainlines, a trolley, and many different dioramas showing the town of Lizard Acres. There is a baseball diamond, an industrial section, and several areas for visitors to walk and sit on benches to observe trains performing trips around the dioramas.
